2008 has been a highly challenging year for anyone in business. The continued downturn in the Music Industry, the flattening of the DVD market and the extremely volatile financial sector has made this year extremely interesting.
However at CCS we have been well placed to ride these waves and in most cases turn them into sustainable positives. Being an independently owned organisation we are not ‘dragged’ down by our corporate masters. Instead we continue to respond, innovate and bring in new products that will make a difference to our marketplace.
For example;
CD and DVD eco-pak is our first response to our customers’ demands for environmentally friendlier products.
CD and DVD Multi-Flip Tray is a smart 3-disc tray allowing for multiple disc formats with all the embellishment options in a compact package.
Starcase® is the new DVD package that gives your standard releases that extra bit of cut-though at retail. Red-Tag and One-Time compatible, the product is machine packable and can handle up to 3 discs.
The list goes on.
During the year we have been more involved in sourcing those really special packages (lenticulars and metal boxes) from overseas with International partners. We see great opportunities for our customers to use our contacts to really expand their packaging possibilities.
